1998 Ibanez Universe UV777BK 7-string

This is my main guitar, or "my baby." This is my go-to guitar for my own personal recording and writing. I pretty much write and record my personal music on it. This guitar speaks to me, ever since the day I tried it out! For some reason I'm more comfortable on this guitar, and play better on this guitar than any other guitar I've encountered. It also sounds as amazing as it looks. I've played a ton of different guitars at ALL price points, and, this guitar will always be like coming home. <3

I purchased this guitar brand new in April or so of 1999 from Beaver's Band Box (it sat for almost a year.....people in Tucson don't really know or care what an Ibanez Universe is). It is basically stock, with the only modifications being the black metal knurled knobs instead of the cheapy Fender Strat style skirted ones, and I rewired the pickups with a 3-way switch John Petrucci style. Because of that, the center single coil is disconnected, and lowered to be flush with the pickguard. The only mods I have in store for this guitar are to maybe dye the fingerboard black, and get a new pickguard so I can eliminate the center single coil (since it hasn't been hooked up in over a decade!). Otherwise, why mess with perfection?
